MPJ/Data Acquisition and Analysis Trailers (Catalog #04000-011)
Contract: White Sands Missile Range; 5/93 - 9/93
The trailers required for MPJ are the same as those for the Monitoring Trailers, and required essentially the same modifications. In addition, EMI installed GFE 42' telescoping mast and compressor on the rear.
Operations Step Van (Catalog #04000-012)
Contract: Los Alamos National Labs, Los Alamos, NM; 4/94 - 7/94
EMI modified two customer-furnished step vans for heavy load and high altitude requirements, including installing heavy duty air springs, alternator, signal flashers, transmission oil cooler, radiator and steel bumper with pintle hook. Also installed and tested were 12 Vdc electrical system; hookup for 80 kW generator trailer; customer-furnished AC electrical system including grounding plate and floodlights; roof mounted air conditioners with heat strip; and blank patch panel. The rear roll-up door was replaced with double swinging doors. EMI finished the interior and installed refrigerator and microwave oven.
Kineto Tracking Mount (KTM) Skid Van (Catalog #04000-013)
Contract: White Sands Missile Range, NM; 9/88 - 3/93
White Sands required KTM Skid Vans to support their optical tracking capabilities. EMI fabricated 23 systems, consisting of 12' x 8' x 8' shelter and generator systems mounted onto GFE tow vehicles. The shelters contain ECU, cable reels, slide-out 15 kw generators, slide-out equipment racks, storage units and work surfaces, and communication patch panels. Twenty-three units were ordered, and EMI completed all requirements on time and within budget.
ITT Iso Shelters (Catalog #04000-027)
Contract: ITT Industries, Reston, VA; 12/02 through 2/03
ITT contracted with EMI to provide eight, 12-foot long Iso shelters for use as equipment shelters at remote sites on Whites Sands Missile Range. EMI procured eight commercial shelters and modified them to customer specification. The interiors are completed with wiring, lighting, insulation, painted metal wall paneling and vinyl floors. A 3-ton air conditioning unit is mounted on the exterior wall. A laminate work surface and an equipment rack are provided on the interior.
